PLACE YOUR ORDER IN TWO EASY STEPS:

1. CHOOSING A MEDIUM

I make my artwork out of three different mediums - watercolor, charcoal, or colored pencil. When picking a medium, you're picking the primary medium, the one that will be used most in your commission. Each medium has a different look and and some photos lend themselves to a specific one. To see examples of all of three, I've labelled each of the example artworks with the mediums they were drawn with. If you're having trouble deciding I'd be happy to help you narrow down the best option for you!

Charcoal

I use vine charcoal and charcoal pencils (like the ones pictured) for my portraits in order to get nice crisp lines. They create a classic, striking black and white drawings.

Watercolor

Watercolor paintings are made using all the colors of the rainbow. They have a smoother, more saturated, and more painterly look than the drawn alternatives. Note: watercolor paintings are done on paper, not canvas!

Colored Pencil

Colored pencils also come in all the colors of the rainbow. They have a softer, less punchy coloring than watercolor paintings but a sharper line quality. Another great option for a full color piece!

2. CHOOSING A SIZE

All commissions come unframed. In an effort to make framing your commissioned piece as easy as possible, 99% of my artworks are cut to standard frame sizes. The drawing may be portrait (vertically-oriented) or landscape (horizontally-oriented), depending on what best suits the photo. 5x7” and 8x10” are the two most common sizes but it’s important to note that commissions can be made at any size! A quick note on pricing:

Commissioned artwork pricing is determined by the size, medium, and complexity of each project. It’s customized to your piece! To give you an idea, commissioned artwork pricing starts at $195 for a 4x6” black & white drawing or $290 for a 4x6” in color (colored pencil or watercolor). Custom coffee posters range from $650 to $2000 depending on the size.
