Now Offering Gift Wrapping

New to the shop

I’ve been wanting to offer gift wrapping for a while now and with the impending holiday season, I finally decided to get it figured out! It was important to me to use as many eco-friendly materials as possible, so I’m using recycled ribbon and FSC Certified tissue paper in order to honor that value.

If you’ve ordered from me before, you know that artwork comes wrapped up but products (like the puzzles, for instance) do not. For the first time, anything in the shop can be gift wrapped!

Scroll down to learn more about the difference between standard wrapping and gift wrapping as well as some of the thought process behind what I chose.

Both eco-friendly + affordable + cute

All artwork already comes with standard wrapping and any product (artwork or otherwise) can receive gift wrapping. Here’s a little bit more about the difference between the two.

Gift Wrapping

  • Enveloped in tan, FSC Certified, recyclable tissue paper with embedded gold glitter flakes,

  • Taped together with metallic washi tape,

  • Wrapped with recycled silk ribbon - made from the gorgeous scraps leftover from silk sari production,

  • And, the signature By Annie B. smiley wax sealed envelope containing paperwork for your order.

  • Can be added to any product or order.

STANDARD Wrapping

  • Enveloped in kraft tissue paper which is 100% recycled and FSC Certified,

  • Taped together with black and white patterned washi tape,

  • Wrapped with striped cotton twine (in either black + white or tan + white),

  • And, the signature By Annie B. smiley wax sealed envelope containing paperwork for your order.

  • Automatically included in all artwork orders.

Along with wanting to use more dressed up materials in the gift wrapping (like silk ribbon in place of twine), I also wanted to make sure they were practical. The glitter tissue is still recyclable and made responsibly and its subtle, large glitter flakes won’t shed everywhere and make a big impossible mess.

Because many of the materials are recycled, there is going to be some variation in color, texture, and more. Part of what makes them all so special (especially the tissue and ribbon) is that each piece is unique. You might see a few rainbow specks of glitter in the paper or have some light seams in the ribbon - that’s part of the charm.

To Wrap Things Up*

My hope is that the neutral color palette will be perfect year round gift giving to any recipient. This is something I would like to keep in my shop as a permanent offering, not just a seasonal one. If it all goes well, I might look into additional ribbon colors! Let me know what you think in the comments below and if there’s a ribbon color you’d like to see included.

*See what I did there? I’ll show myself out, hehe.

Best,
