The Watercolor Month Collection

An Accidental Collection

Each July, Doodlewash hosts World Watercolor Month by releasing daily painting prompts. This year, I decided to participate for the first time. I thought I’d paint the prompts, share them on Instagram, and call it a day. At some point, it snowballed. I hopped in the car, bought 31 frames, and hit the ground running!

Each day, I’d paint a mini watercolor painting inspired by the prompt. Then I’d photograph, scan, frame, and list the piece for sale on my website. What was going to be an exercise in creativity turned into a collection of 31 framed small paintings! Whew!

A few original artworks are still in the shop! Click on the button below to grab the available pieces.

Click on an image to view the piece in more detail. Hover over the opened image to read about how I was inspired to paint each subject (some of them are pretty good stories)!

Update: Prints Have come & Gone

Many pieces sold out the day I posted them. Since they were of interest to so many of you, I sold prints of each painting! Prints are something I want to be offering more of and I’m currently looking in to buying a printer of my own! Stay tuned. In the meantime, all of these paintings have come together to create a gorgeous new puzzle and some of these have been turned into stickers which are currently in stock. Click the button below to see what’s available!

Thank You

It has made me so happy to hear your stories of why folks have bought each piece and where it’s going. Thank you so much for all of your support!
Did you end up getting one of the original paintings? Was there a piece that reminded you of something in your life? One that you can’t wait to order a big print of? Let me know in the comments below! I’d love to hear from you!
