Today’s Color Prompt: Fluorescent Orange

Diary Entry: October 5th, 2022. Anxiety insomnia is a real bummer. It can feel like being woken up with a neon light right to the face. I’m working on it.
A note about this piece: the background is truly a neon orange watercolor paint. This doesn’t really come through in the photograph! Also, neon watercolor can fade in direct, strong sun so I’d recommend hanging it away from a window.

About the Colortober Collection:
Out of all the October daily art challenges, I was really inspired to take part in Case for Making’s Colortober challenge this year. Each day there is a painting prompt of a specific color. As someone who loves observing and celebrating color in all of its forms, this is right up my alley. I’ve decided to treat the project as a diary of sorts, documenting little pieces of my life.
Each painting is 3x3”, unframed, and ships for free until the end of October ‘22!
