Introducing: The Minis
A New Kind of Commission
I’ve been hinting at this for a while in the newsletter and on Instagram, but I’m ready to launch one last new product for the year: Mini Commissions! Ever since the World Watercolor Month collection from July of this year, I’ve been wanting to offer more commission opportunities in the same small scale and minimalist style. So here we are! Just in time for the holidays.
You might be wondering how the Minis are different from regular commissions (other than the size, obviously). Let me help you out!
What’s New?
One Style, One Subject
For now, all Minis will be done in watercolor and will all feature one subject on a white background. You can choose anything you want eg. a pet, a family heirloom, your favorite food, etc.
Size
I love intimate, heartfelt artwork and the size of each of these paintings ensures that! Each painting will be only a few inches in size on a 4x6” paper in a 6x8” frame. Perfect for cherishing up close on a desk, nightstand, bookshelf, etc.
Faster Process
The regular commission process includes some email back and forth and a round of revisions. With the Minis, we’ll skip right to the action! Once you place your order, you’ll be sent an email asking for your chosen photo. From there, I’ll paint it, frame it, and ship it out. No revisions required!
The creation process itself is faster but there will still be a short wait before I start your piece. I’ll be releasing openings for Mini Commissions in batches. This current round of Minis will open on November 17th and will be shipped by December 5th.Framing Included
Yep, these bad boys come framed. You have four frame colors to choose from (white, black, wood, or gold) and they come with a custom cut mat. You also have the option of ordering your Mini unframed & unmatted for a small discount.
And Lastly, Price
Because of the scale and the speed, the Minis are roughly 40% less than the cost of a regular 4x6” watercolor commission. That’s a discount of $70!
