This 10x10” watercolor on grid paper was painted outside while I observed the small buds, plants, and leaves that started to pop up around our home this spring.

I challenged myself to keep each mini specimen painting light, fun, and pleasantly imperfect. It was a meditative make. There’s a very doodle-like quality to this piece. You may notice small smudges outside of the squares, things can happen when you’re painting on the sidewalk! It’s part of it’s charm.

This piece comes unframed. All sales are final.
