This 4x6” watercolor is of the marble sculpture “Portrait Statue of a Woman” in the Getty Villa collection. The original artist is unknown but it’s thought to have been created in the Roman Empire around 120 AD.

I am very inspired by art history, especially the provenance and journey of ancient art. This portrait of a portrait was made with her life in mind.
