July is World Watercolor Month!
In the spirit of the faux-holiday, I’ll be following along with the 2021 #WorldWatercolorMonth painting prompts.

These mini paintings come matted and framed in a 5x7” picture frame. The total value of these would normally be much more but, in celebration of one of my favorite mediums, I’m discounting them!

Today’s Prompt: Abandoned

We are so lucky to live near quite a few state and national parks including some fantastic desert parks like Death Valley and Joshua Tree. We go with some frequency to both those spots and I’m fascinated by the ghost towns, abandoned cars, and old windmills that you can find out in the desert. This particular wheel comes from one of the twenty mule Borax wagons in Death Valley, it’s not abandoned technically because it’s part of an educational exhibit, but it is sitting out in the middle of the desert all by itself. It’s a little touch of wild west, only a few hours from LA.
